Project Overview:
The new Jiaozuo to Pingdingshan Railway is a high-speed railway with a design speed of 350 km/h. It is part of the "Hun-Nan Passage," one of the eight longitudinal lines in the national "Medium and Long-Term Railway Network Plan." The line starts from the Jueshan Line Office of the Zhengtai High-speed Railway, goes south through Qinyang City and Jiyuan City in Jiaozuo City, crosses the Yellow River, and then enters the Luoyang Longmen Station of the Zhengxi High-speed Railway. It then passes through Yichuan and Ruyang County in Luoyang City, and Ruzhou City in Pingdingshan City, finally connecting to the Pingdingshan West Station of the Zhengyu High-speed Railway. The new line is 229.2 kilometers long.
Five new stations will be built along the entire line: Qinyang West, Jiyuan East, Mengjin North, Ruyang East, and Ruzhou South. Luoyang Longmen and Jiaozuo West stations will be renovated; the Yichuan West station will be reserved and implemented when passenger flow matures.
The feasibility study report for this project was jointly approved by the National Railway Group and the Henan Provincial Government in March this year.
In the early stages of the Jiaozuo-Luoyang-Pingdingshan Railway project, feasibility studies and preliminary design are two important steps, and environmental impact assessment is a necessary part of the preliminary design.
During this period, the Zhengzhou Bureau Group Company will implement the decisions and arrangements of the National Railway Group and the Henan Provincial Party Committee and Government, making overall plans, coordinating the advancement of the project's preliminary work, supervising and coordinating the collaborative research of various member units, resolving problems at various stages of the preliminary work, ensuring the smooth progress of the project's preliminary work, and ensuring that the planned commencement goal is achieved.
As a major railway construction project that the country is actively promoting, the Jiaozuo-Luoyang-Pingdingshan High-speed Railway project is of great significance in promoting the accelerated rise of the central region, improving the transportation infrastructure conditions in western Henan, and accelerating the construction of a modernized railway infrastructure system.
In addition, after the completion of the Jiaozuo-Luoyang-Pingdingshan High-speed Railway, Jiyuan, as a state-level demonstration area for integrated urban and industrial development directly under the jurisdiction of Henan Province, will end its history of not having high-speed rail access. This will play an important role in promoting the coordinated economic, cultural, and tourism development of cities in the Central Plains region.
