The first TBM, named 'Jianghan Pioneer', for the Yinjiaobohan Project, has begun its excavation.
On February 2, with the "Jianghan Pioneer" TBM cutterhead slowly starting to rotate at the working face of the No. 8 inspection and traffic tunnel of the Bid 4 of the Yinchang-to-Hanjiang River Diversion Project, the first TBM of the Yinchang-to-Hanjiang River Diversion Project officially started excavation in Baokang County, Hubei Province, marking the project's entry into a new phase of TBM tunnel excavation.

Zhengzhou Metro Line 6 Phase 1 Northeast Section commences initial operation
Line 6 Phase 1 Northeast Section is an extension of Line 6 Phase 1 West Section, starting from Fengwan Station and ending at Tsinghua High School Station. The line is approximately 26.4 kilometers long with 18 underground stations. Among them, 8 stations are interchange stations, respectively interchanging with Line 1 at Yan Zhuang Station, Line 2 at Erligang Station, Line 3 at Expo Center Station, Line 4 at Tsinghua High School Station, Line 5 at Tong Huai Station and Yao Zhai Station, the under-construction Line 7 at University Middle Road Station, and the under-construction Line 8 at Xiaoying Station. After the connection and operation of Line 6 Phase 1 Northeast Section and West Section, the total length of the operating line will be approximately 43.4 kilometers.

The Hunan's largest diameter shield tunnel has been completed and opened to traffic
The Xiangya Road Tunnel in Changsha, Hunan Province, was completed and opened to traffic on July 5th, allowing citizens to cross the river in as little as 5 minutes. This is currently the largest diameter shield tunnel in Hunan Province and the largest tunnel project crossing the Xiangjiang River. To date, Changsha urban area has 14 cross-river channels.

The Shenzhen-Zhongshan Channel officially opened to traffic
On June 30, the world-class cross-sea cluster project, after 7 years of arduous construction, was fully opened to traffic. The Shenzhen-Zhongshan Channel has been completed, connecting the golden inner bay. Shenzhen and Zhongshan have officially entered the "same city moment", and travel between the east and west banks of the Pearl River Estuary no longer needs to detour via the Humen Bridge, with travel time shortened to within 30 minutes.

The world's longest undersea high-speed rail tunnel shield machine, "Yongzhou", was successfully launched.
On February 26, the "Yongzhou" TBM, a super-large diameter shield machine with a cutterhead painted with a "Rui Long" (Auspicious Dragon) pattern, was launched. With a cutterhead diameter of 14.57 meters, it will be used in the construction of the Ningbo end of the Jintang underwater tunnel of the Yongzhou Railway, currently the world's longest underwater high-speed rail tunnel. The "Yongzhou" TBM was jointly developed by China Railway No. 14 Bureau Group and China Railway Construction Heavy Industry Group. It is 135 meters long, weighs 4350 tons, and is equipped with 308 specially designed cutter tools, reaching world-class standards in overall assembly.
